Can i get in?

Hey guys I was wondering if it was possible to get in and actually attend. Rather than get in and not be able to pay for it. I'm from New Orleans so I wouldn't get In state tuition.

SAT:1930
GPA:4.1 weighted
ACT:31
SAT II Math 2:710
SAT II US history:600
AP's
BIO
US HISTORY
WORLD HISTORY
none of the scores are in yet though.

out of state, not really.

i give you 30% not really sure oos

A 31 on the ACT is ok. But what’s really hurting you is your SATII scores imo. Try and get your US Hist. above at least 650.

a 31 is better than ok, its in the 98th percentile =D
but yeah try to improve your SAT II’s, personally i think you have the stats you pretty much just need luck since you are out of state.

I got in with:

UW GPA: 3.33
Weighted GPA: 3.88 (So UC GPA lies somewhere in between)

SAT: 2030 (R: 670, W: 680, M: 680)

SAT II’s:
US History: 740
Literature: 580

Unimpressive EC’s, leadership.

As for you, it depends on what your unweighted GPA is, what EC’s you may have, and how good your essay is. You definitely have a decent chance though. Just pick up those test scores a bi.

Just pick up those test scores a bit. Btw, OOS for the UC’s is expensive as hell.

it honestly depends. this year we saw people that should have been a shoe in get rejected and some that probably didnt have the best scores get in. just make sure you have your safeties

well, for EC’s i have:

Mu Alpha Theta-3 years
Engineering Club-4 years
Symphonic Band-1 year
Mock Trial- 1 year
Acadmic Games-4 years
4-H-2 years
Student Council-2 years
Key Club-2 years
Quiz Bowl-2 years

Also correction my GPA is actually 4.3 weighted…wups..

I think you definitley have a decent chance, the only reason why you might not get in is because you are an out of state applicant. Your GPA and scores are pretty good, just make sure you have an essay that stands out!

you’re definetely in. you’re gpa is off the charts.

^^ er… what?
