<p>Hi, so I have a weighted GPA of 4.2, an unweighted GPA of 3.8. (top 10%)
ACT of 29, didn't take SAT (is that ok?)</p>

<p>Extra curricular:
Orchestra (9,10,11,12)
Youth Group (9,10,11,12)
Red Cross (11,12)
150 hours as Hospital Volunteer (10,11,12,)
Local nursing home volunteer (11,12)
Tutor (11,12)
Had a job the summer of 11 grade
Track and field (10,11,12)
Softball (9,10) (For school and indoor/outdoor leagues)
Latin Club (10,11,12)
Spanish Club (9,11,12)
Math Club (11,12)
National Honors Society
Math Honors Society
Spanish Honors Society</p>

<p>(ap/honors)
through 9-11 grade, i took honors english and math, two language including Spanish and Latin
12 grade: ap spanish 5, ap english, ap chem, ap calc bc
I am also hispanic, if that makes any difference</p>

<p>Can I get into Vanderbilt, Boston College, University of Michigan, Emory, University of Virginia, or Rice?
Can I get any full rides if my family together makes about $60,00 with one child already in college?

<p>I would say all of those are reaches for you, even with your URM status. Although I could see you getting into a few, I could also see you getting denied.</p>

<p>If this is your final list, you HAVE to add some safetys! If money is an issue, check out your in state unviersitys. You didnt say where you lived? </p>

<p>If you need some more help, you may want to post this in the college search and selection threads, they will be more helpful on finding safetys and also on schools where you get fin aid.</p>

<p>Well I am also applying to Miami University and Ohio State - those are my safety schools. I live in Ohio. But out of these,which ones do you think I could get in to?</p>

<p>Your ACT is definetly low for those schools, try to get a 30 or 31 at least. I have a 31 and am real worried about my low ACT. But for rice, i’d say probably not with that 29. Maybe some of the others though. Just work REAL hard on the ACT and maybe take the SAT to see if you can do better on it. We’re in the same boat.</p>
