Can I get into a college?

Hey guys im interested in going to some colleges in New York for nursing. I am interested in Alephi, Hofstra, Molloy, St. Johns, CUNY York, CUNY Hunter, Stony Brook, SUNY Old Westbury, and LIU. However, with my grades im not too sure where I could get in also because of my sat score which I did horrible on (1370). But, I plan on retaking it again hopefully doing much better than before.

Freshman Year average: 87.2

Sophmore Year average: 85.3

Junior Year average: 87.1

Overall average: 86.74

Freshman year I was in latin honors, global history honors, and biology honors.
Sophmore year I was in latin honors, global history honors, and chemistry honors.
Junior year I was in latin honors ,u.s history honors, and AP psychology.

This year Im taking a college now class which I get college credit for and I am also in an english class where im elegible to get college credit if I pay a certain amount of money so its also like a college course. I am also in a honors class for government.

I have also joined three clubs junior year and plan on continuing senior year.
I have various hours of volunteering done at a nursing home as well as religious education class.
I also volunteered at the school's pool for 45 minutes 5 times a week for a year.

I will also be getting 1 or 2 letters of recommendation.

Can I get into any of the colleges I listed above? Thanks for answering in advance. Your answers are greatly appreciated.

you’d probably get into all of them, though probably not directly into any nursing program. you usually need to start fulfilling prereqs and then apply while you’re in school

Is your SAT out of 1600? If so thats really good… And for the schools you want, you shouldn’t need to take it again if that’s the case.

You’ve got a great chance at York, Old Westbury, and LIU.

Stony Brook and Hunter are more competitive but don’t rule them out.

Hofstra won’t give you a ton of aid because of your GPA. Adelphi and Molloy might, but I don’t know.

Since she said she did bad on them, I’m assuming that SAT is out of 2400. I highly recommend you study A LOT and retake the SATs.

I’d say with that SAT you have a decent shot at the CUNY York, SUNY Old Westbury and maybe Adelphi. But to be honest, unless you get your SATs up, the rest are reaches.
