I’m a sophomore in high school and math has never been my strength. As much as I’ve studied for the tests, I’ve managed to receive B’s every semester so far. It’s usually a really close 89%, which is the depressing thing. I am confident that from now on, I can get all A’s (I’ll try my best).
I know that the grades after junior year don’t really matter (but they do but not really), which means that I have 6 semesters in all which colleges will see. My GPA in 3 of those has been 3.89. If the last three semesters in are 4.0, would colleges see the trend of improvement?
I have a lot of volunteer hours, national and international awards, leadership positions, and internships. When it’s time to take SAT’s, hopefully I"ll get a good score. Would these make up for my low-ish GPA?
College is still a ways to go but when it’s time to apply, I’d probably be interested in Georgetown and Berkeley and some Ivy Leagues. Would not having a 4.0 completely ruin my changes of getting into these colleges?
