I live in Michigan so I was thinking U of M? Do you think I'll be able to get in? Should I even apply to Ivies? What other colleges would be good? I want to major in Biology. Thanks =) Please be honest!!

Your ECs aren’t the most unique/interesting (I have no clue what rotary interact is though) but your stats are great. All in all, I think your a match for U of M ( I don’t know much about it, though)

Conveying some sort of passion for biology through gaining research opportunities or other EC ideas wouldn’t hurt.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think you could be admitted to some, if not most, of the Ivies. Your stats are pretty good (your ACT is noticeably better, though), your classes have been clearly tough, and your ECs are good (they don’t really LEAP OFF THE PAGE, but don’t feel inadequate or anything). You have a very good shot at Michigan, and, as I said, being admitted to an Ivy League or equivalent (think University of Chicago, Rice University, etc, or similar LACs) is certainly a possibility for you.

As an aside, I wouldn’t place too much weight on any responses that include a “Chance me back” link. Quick summary: Your application is good and will definitely be reviewed thoroughly in most universities, especially with strong essays. What you aren’t, though, is an “elite” applicant with a 50-50 or better chance at Harvard. You should feel confident about UM, though. Just don’t forget a safety, you know, just in case!

Your academics appear to be good (namely your ACT score). Your extracurricular activities seem a bit negatively heterogeneous, with virtually nothing demonstrating a passion for biology.

Allow me to put emphasis on that last part: you should be a tad more congruous with extracurricular activities and particularly convey a passion for biology with them; as fullofwonder said, research opportunities and the like in relation to biology could be tremendously helpful.

I think it’s likely that you would be accepted at University of Michigan. An Ivy League school doesn’t seem very likely considering where you stand right now, but it remains a possibility.
