Sure you can.

But you need to be much more specific: what do you mean by “good”? the top 20 are going to be a high reach for you, but you can still attend a perfectly respectable university. If your heart is set on a top 20 school, then bring your test scores (both SAT1 and ACT) way up. Your ECs are weak. And your spelling is weak… But your GPA, rank and SAT2 are competitive.

Where are you from? Do you need financial aid?

You are not competitive, based on SAT and ACT scores, for the tippy top tier of schools that admits international applicants without concern for their financial need and then supplies funds to make it happen. You can get into a “good” US college but how much you need for financial aid may determine if you can actually attend.

waverly:I am from South Asia and yes i am applying for financial aid.
the college i am applying are
duke,brandeis,tufts,davidson,gettysburg,trinity uni.,trinity coll. ,colgate uni.and whitman college

I think it will be tough. The competition among all Asians at these schools is intense. The CR score really hurts. I would not count on getting in with enough aid at any of these, but you never know. It won’t be Duke or Tufts.
