So you lied then? You’re a current student? And you said you had a 1360, now it’s a 1260?
Who is toxic, the one who lies?
So you do know it is not a safety.
It sounds like you are getting information from third-party resources (not accurate) and hearsay. For the most accurate information, I suggest looking at the Common Data Set and student profile provided by the colleges you are considering. Note that the information provided there will be for the university as a whole. Popular majors with limited space will be more difficult admits.
Here is the TAMU CDS for 2021-2022 (most recent I found). Read through Section C, starting on page 7.
A few items of note:
- Section C5: Will you meet the RECOMMENDED high school credits? That will make you more competitive than just the required credits.
- Section C7: Take note of the Very Important factors to admissions. Rigor, Rank, GPA, Test Scores, ECs, Talent/Ability.
- Section C9: Mid SAT 1160-1370. A student needs a score above the 75%, especially in a competitive major, to consider a school anything other than a high match or reach.
- Section C10: Percent in top 10% of high school class - 60%; Percent in top 25% of high school class - 89%
Based on this, I would not say you have no chance at TAMU, just that it is a match or high-match. I think a lot of responses were based on your assessment of it as a safety and then pushing back when posters did not agree with you. You should absolutely go for it, but you do need a true safety (I think you mentioned UTD). Best of luck.
Edit: I just saw your last post. So I guess you were just wasting everyone’s time? I hope you will show more maturity in college and if you ever continue to med school. This does not give me much confidence, I’m sorry to say.
Edit2: And hopefully someone else reading this will appreciate the time it took looking up this information and attempting to be helpful.
Fantastic. So happy for you! Congrats. You deserve the best. All of us are super pumped. Now go get that degree and forget all about this forum.
With so many inconsistencies, no reason to continue. Closing.
