I'm going to Cornell for the weekend, getting there Thursday around 8 PM. Would I be able to get into any parties if I don't know anyone there? I'm going to be there until Sunday probably so if possible, I would like to get a taste of the night life there. Would I be able to get into any with some friends?

Well, since your username hints you are a male, it’ll be tricky. Are you staying with any students? They’d probably have to help you out.

Sure. Go to Ctown on Friday or Saturday night, find a medium-sized group of males and females walking purposefully, follow them, and just walk into the party they arrive at like you belong.

^Creepy. Also a good way to get me to use physical force to get you out of my apartment…

I know that’s been the norm doing O-week, but after…really? I know frat policy changed this year, but I wasn’t aware it was making C-town like a permanent O-week…

Yep. The party scene’s quite messed up at this point. It’s even worse if you’re not in a “decent” frat and not 21.

If you are looking for a good partying scene, I don’t think Cornell will do you due justice. It has decent partying scene, but nothing compared to other schools such as Arizona State, Florida State, or U of Texas. I had chances to visit Arizona State and U of Texas recently because of my friends/relatives, and I was stunned to see so many beautiful girls looking like Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie walking around, not to mention the partying scene was crazy and everyone was so friendly. Never before my life had I seen such a high concentration of beautiful women walking around within 1.5 miles of radius. (At ASU and U Texas) And, frankly, I wished that I went to those schools instead of Cornell, looking back…

^ Yes, and in 20 years, you would perhaps wish that you had attended Cornell for reasons unknown to you now.

Someone who truly wants to claim they are of the caliber of Cornell University would visit and start their own massive party.

^

No, someone who truly wants to claim they are truly the caliber of Cornell University would visit and spend all of their time in the library
