Can I get into a SUNY school?

Are SUNY schools a possibility for me?
Preferably, SUNY Albany, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Oneonta.

To be a Senior

Cumulative GPA: 85 (3.2 according to collegeboard.com)

SATs: 1570 ...... :(
Reading: 550
Math: 500
Writing: 520
(I will be taking it again)

Clubs: Interact (2 years), Amnesty International (3 years), SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy, & Dedication)

Symphonic Orchestra (8 years; 3 years in high school -- so far, 4 years by the end of high school)
Two-time first violin section leader

Spanish 1-3

Challenging Electives: Career and Financial Management (grade A-), Speed Reading (grade A-)
Will be taking Senior year: Psychology, Sociology, Business Law, Accounting

** I know my GPA is low but I plan on getting that up to maybe an 88-89 by the end of Senior year. Do colleges look at your GPA for senior year at all?

If I can't get into any of these schools, what kind of SAT scores do you think may give me a shot?

Make sure you apply to more SUNY colleges. Competition is increasing so don’t rely on just three.
I think you will be OK, just add to the list.

Your gpa is a little low for New Paltz. They usually look for a 88-92. Unfortunately your senior year gpa will not do you much good. Schools accept you based on the gpa you send in at the beginning of your senior year which is too early for senior year grades. They do want to see your grades after the fact though to make sure you kept it up to the standard you submitted. However, it can’t hurt to apply…gpa is only a part of the application.
