<p>your gpa is good but you need higher sat/act scores especially in the math section, if you want to do engineering.
I think you could get into most of the colleges on your list if you get the scores higher.</p>

<p>I think your GPA and ECs are competitive for the lower tier UCs but your SAT scores are well below the average for accepted students at any of the UCs and I think you have to get your SAT math and critical reading scores above 500 to have a reasonable chance of acceptence even at UC Merced or UC Riverside.</p>

<p>What is in your favor is that the UCs place more weight on GPA than SAT scores and take a holistic look at each applicant and do not rely solely on statistics.</p>

<p>The CSUs only look at GPA and test scores and they only use the total of the Math and CR scores and do not consider the writing section. Your combined CR and math score is 930 when it needs to be over 1,000 to be competitive at the upper tier CSUs like Cal Poly SLO. SJSU and SDSU. You should find out what CSU you are in the service area of and apply there as a safety.</p>

<p>You might also want to consider a community college for two years and then transfer to a UC or CSU. If you can achieve a good GPA as a transfer student from a cc you will have the highest priority for admission and your SAT scores will not be considered, just your cc GPA.</p>

<p>CSU Chico would be a nice state school to shoot for also (close to home in Davis but not too close) if you can increase your SAT scores. Good luck, and get those SAT scores increased!</p>

<p>You have a good chance I would say IF the SATS come up a good deal. The rest of your application looks pretty good, and the fact that you are hispanic should give you a slight advantage. Good luck!</p>
