Can I get into a university without putting my race down on the common app?

I'm sure you get these questions often but my situation is a bit more unique.

I am asian indian, but I have a very hispanic sounding name. So much that even some hispanics think I'm also hispanic. I can pass off as hispanic too.

I am definitely not going to put down hispanic as my race, but being asian and I am NOT a stellar student like most asians are and applying to college common app and with the "asian" box checked is definitely going to hurt me big time so I was wondering if I could just leave it blank.

And yes I realize this is a slimy thing to do but affirmitive action is hurting us a lot, and I really want to go to this school.

Would leaving it blank affect my chances in any way? Do colleges look at applications where the race box is unchecked negatively?

come on. this is killing me…

you’ll be fine.

Do whatever you like; it is unlikely to have an effect one you one way or another.

If u want to pursue this anonym-race strategy, make sure your high school transcript & test score reports also do not disclose your race.

I didn’t report last year, and I still got into the majority of my schools. You’re fine, haha. I am reporting this year, but it’s a personal choice.
