I’m currently a junior in high school and absolutely obsessed with Baylor University. I’m wondering if I have a chance at getting accepted to Baylor. I will also be applying for the Early Action(not restrictive). Here are my stats

I plan on retaking this test in June and October. I am hoping to get a 1900+, I’m working really hard on it! I also might be taking the ACT, but I’m not exactly sure when.

Your GPA is fine, but SAT reading is way too low. Retake and you are set
Show interest; apply for the Invitation to Excellence weekend, improve your SAT/ACT scores and stay involved. DS is heading to BU this Fall.
Can you please tell me what DS is? And what’s a good ACT score for Baylor?
DS = darling son. A good ACT would be 29 - 30 (1940-2000 SAT equivalent)
Baylor seems to be more interested in a well rounded individuals, rather than merely test scores. I would strongly suggest a weekend visit during one of their specialized events; like the Invitation to Excellence.
I went to Baylor this January, and I also went to a Baylor event when it came to my area!
Will you be a rising senior? Your AP courses make me think your are a rising senior now.
Here is the info you need. You want your scores to be above the 50% and hopefully close to the 75%. I think you are in pretty good shape.
Run the NPC on the Baylor website to see how much Baylor will cost. It is an expensive school but does give out decent aid.

Update- I got my scores back for the SAT that I took in June. I got an 1830, CR-580 M-680 W-570.
To improve your chances, show them some love. Visit, call, write, pick them as your first choice.
