Please tell me if I'll make it! much thanks

you have a good shot at berkeley. but you seem kind of all over the place - your activities are broad (which MAY appear like you’re just doing it to get into college), so you should use your essays to show what you’re interested in and perhaps explain why you’re into all these activities.

Yes you are in state with an ACT of 35 you will get in, you may even get Regents. I got Regents and my resume was not as long as yours

stly: I’ll keep that in mind, thanks for the insight

blueducky: Wow really? Do you think I could make it in for Biology or Electrical Engineering?

wait, i just noticed you have a 4.0 uc gpa, that is a little low. but your 35 ACT should compensate for that. do what stly says though

lol, yeah. all right, point taken (again)

Not to be mean, but Certificate of Merit Level 5 is not worth noting on your UC app. They only let you list like 7 awards? I think? So you should use the space to list your better ones, since a lot of people (ahem asians - I’m asian, and we all know this is true) have Level 10.

Mmm do you want to do biology or bioengineering? Because my good friend was valedictorian of our school with a UC GPA of like 4.3 and he had awards and SAT of 2160 and actually got rejected from bioengineering. (He appealed and got in though! But that is super rare) Bioengineering is one of the hardest majors to get into here at Cal.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I can fill it up with 7 others then I will, if not then I’ll just put it there haha.

No way I’m applying to bioengineering! My stats aren’t that super amazing that I can get that. I was thinking regular biology…

What do you think of my chances though?

Oh I think you can have a good chance of getting in for bio. Just make sure that your essays are good.

bump 10char

Did you get ELC by chance? That could help a lot.
