Hi all,

I wrote a very solid application also.

So with all this, do I have a chance at getting in with early decision?
(BTW I'm so interested because my mom went to BC)

I’d say it’s a low-reach… Looks like you have good ECs and your mom’s legacy helps… But I think your GPA is what would be the only thing holding you back.
But I still think your chances of getting accepted are higher than not.

Mine please?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1567285-chance-transfer.html

Thank you for the thoughtful answer. I’m sorry, but I cannot give you any advice for transferring because i am very naive to the topic. Best of luck though.

Boston College: high match/low reach

Thank you for the answer. Any other colleges similar to Boston College that you recommend that I look at? Some preferences I have are a mid-sized school, with a good business program and science department, along the East coast.

idk why people are saying reach

if you go to a prestigious private school 3.7 really isnt bad

match-low match

Thanks for the input. I agree with you to an extent that colleges recognize the varying difficulties to receive A’s at different schools, as many suffer from grade inflation. However, a 3.8 or higher would be ideal for Boston College, at least for me to feel safer.

Schools similar to BC: Villanova and Notre Dame if you want a religious aspect; UVA, BU, Northeastern, U Miami, Upenn

Is your GPA weighted? If it is you’ll have trouble. If not I think you’ll be fine.

What are my chances for boston college, if I plan on transferring for Fall 2014 from University of San Francisco(first semester freshman with 16 credits).Got a GPA of 3.68 and ACT composite score is 26, TOEFL 102. Do you think I have a chance, and what’s the probabilty of getting accepted?
