Okay so I am about to be a High School senior, and I am thinking of applying to Boston University. My high school GPA is a 3.2 but I go to one of the best private schools. I am a 5 year lettermen in soccer, 2 years volleyball, 2 years track, and 2 years softball. I will also be captain of all 4 sports this upcoming year. I do community service and am very well rounded. I am also a member of numerous clubs and president of the music club. I will be having some amazing recommendations from teachers that love me. My SAT score in low 1800’s, and ACT is 23. Oh, and I am ethnic so I dont know if that would help at all. But I would like to know my chances. I really am considering Boston University, do you think I could get in?

same stats…as me.

okay because i am really freaking out thinking im not gonna get in. Did you get in right away, or wait listed or something. Also, what college did you apply to, like general studies or what?

I’m an upcomng senior for class of 2010. ):

Here is a link to the average incoming freshman profile for the 2 years prior to this fall. This will give you some idea of how your stats compare. In addition, the average SAT for incoming 2009 is mid 1900’s and ACT is 28. Average GPA for incoming this year is A-. If your stats are lower than these average your chances are lower, if your stats are higher than your chances improve, but in general, they seem to want strong students that are also talented in some area (sports, arts, music, leadership, community service). Good luck.
