Can I get into Bowdoin with a 3.65 unweighted?

I am applying to Bowdoin ED and I reaaaaalllllyyyyyy want to get in, but my GPA unweighted is only a 3.65. I am in top 20% of my class of 89. I also scored a 2110 on my SATs. Disregarding extra curriculars for the moment, do I even stand a chance?

I don’t think your GPA would rule you out. But all other factors need to be really strong. Your test scores are good, but you’ll need great essays and recs. Where are you from? Outside of the northeast would be a plus. Also, did you interview?? That’s very important!

I got into Bowdoin last year with a 3.65 UW regular decision. It can be done.

Weren’t you a recruited athlete???

Ish. I applied RD, so the amount of help that the coaches could give me was very limited. But yes, that may have been a tipping point.
