Did you apply ED?

Yes, I did apply ED

I'm going to have to agree with cbomo. Statistically, you have <2% of getting into Brown. That makes it a very slim chance to begin with. I don't think that SAT scores are a measure of intelligence, but I highly doubt that you can bring three bad SAT II scores into 700+ range, which is what Brown will be looking for. People cite that, assuming you have a 640-640 split, people get in about 10% of the time on each. But most of the people that get accepted that way are probably well above 700 on the other one. I know nothing about your EC's, but since you didn't talk about them, they probably aren't anything to brag about. Your GPA and schedule are fine for Brown, but you SAT 1 score is on the bubble, and your SAT II scores shoot you out of the picture, and I'm assuming that your EC's aren't too hot (b/c you didn't speak about them).
Based purely on numbers, you have about a 1.8% chance of getting accepted (according to other people.) How do those 1.8 get in?:
-Recruited athlete
-Nationally recognized in another EC, like writing a newspaper article that gets a prominent businessman arrested (someone got into Stanford with stats worse than yours but wrote an article like that)
-Legacy from family that donates lots of money

Seeing as how you didn't mention anything like that, I'm going to have to assume that you don't meet any of the above three criteria. Don't waste your time on a Brown app, you won't get accepted.

eh, i would say that the number of people accepted makes that last point a tad less than legit, they accepted a grand of people with those sats, some got in on what you ought-lined, but also some got in because thats how brown balls. My recomindation would be to go for it. Solid rex and essays can easily shot them that a writing sat 2 is a worthless test
GWB

Waffles!, thoughts on my situation?

Anybody who would go off of your /outstanding/ recommendation is a fool, gwb. Seriously, people like the one with 1280 SAT's are just putting money into Brown's pockets.

So yeah, go ahead and apply. Increase Brown's endowment.

But seriously, if anyone wants a much more realistic examination of your stats, make a post at www. ******* .com . The posters there don't have their heads up their butts.

EDIT: What the hell, why is that censored? this is it (minus the spaces): www.x o x o h t h.com

Or try www.autoadmit.com . It's the same site.

well that endowment would benefit me as a potential student...
at the same time solid backing could pull you through
push it

i don't have my head up my butt :( but (ha) there's still that 1.8% chance! why not go for it, if you get rejected, oh well, you knew it was slim.
