Hi, I’m considering applying to Brown and would like to get a rough idea of my chances so I know if it’s worth applying. I apologize, this is a long thing, but I wanted to be as detailed as possible because (a) I’m in a special situation (homeschooled), which might affect my chances; and (b) I want to get an accurate assessment of my chances, as this will affect my decision to apply to Brown. Feel free to skim, skip, glance, and/or disregard to your heart’s content.

Basic Information:[ul]
[]State: FL
[]School Type: Homeschooled
[]Race: White
[]Gender: Female
[]Hooks: None whatsoever
[]Major: Political Science

[/ul]Stats:[ul]
[]GPA: 4.53 weighted, 3.97 unweighted
[]SAT: 2170–800 Critical Reading, 670 Math, 700 Writing (just retook, and I think I did much better, so I’ll send new scores too)
[]SAT Subject Tests: 770 Literature, 740 U.S. History
[]Dual Enrollment: By the end of this semester, I’ll have 29 college credits through dual enrollment. Most are from honors courses at my local community college (including an extensive honors project from one class). I’m also taking 1 class per semester at the local public university this year.
[]AP: U.S. Government 5, English Language 4, both self-studied. My homeschooling makes it difficult to fit in APs, but all my classes are very challenging.
[]Senior Year Course Load: Honors English Literature (college), Honors Contemporary Literature (college), Intro to World Politics (college), Comparative Politics (college), AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, Honors World History IV, Honors Latin IV, Honors Rhetoric II, self-studying for all 3 history APs and Human Geography.

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[]Awards: President’s List (college, for high GPA), Spanish Department Award (college), Phi Theta Kappa (college honor society)
[]Extracurriculars: Girls State (1 of 12 winners (out of 300 participants) of Outstanding Citizen Award, Senator, City Manager); Intern, Organizing for America (aka the Obama campaign; ran all the phone banks in my area, volunteered at a lot of special events, including the foreign policy debate); College Democrats at the college where I dual enroll; Judo (green belt, member of club’s board of directors (youngest board member by far, and it’s a large, nonprofit club), lots of community service to club); write for, and occasionally edit, an online homeschoolers’ newsletter
[]Job/Work Experience: None. I’m trying to get a job now, so hopefully I’ll have one by the time I submit my application.
[]Volunteer/Community Service: About 1000 hours from my internship, 100-150 hours from judo events, another 50 or so miscellaneous.
[]Summer Activities: 9th–teen leadership program; 10th–big national judo camp for 3 days, and not much else, tbh; 11th–judo camp, community college courses; 12th Girls State, internship
[]Essays: I’m a pretty good writer, but not amazing. They should be pretty average.
[]Teacher Recommendations: Excellent. Both are college professors who taught me for 2 semesters in honors classes. One became a good friend, who mentored me through an honors project; I saw her rec for another school, and it was very good. The other professor nominated me for the campus-wide Spanish award.
[]Counselor Rec: Given that my mom wrote it, I’d say pretty good
[li]Additional Rec: I might submit one from my boss at my internship. She was very impressed by me and I already have a letter from her, which is really good.[/li][/ul]

Thank you!!
