Can I get into Brown?

you got everything you need to get acceptance from brown. But, you gotta stand out with your essays. Good luck

Here are a few questions to help you further develop your plan of action for next year.

What do you plan to study at Brown? How do you connect your ECs to your plan of study? Is there an underlying theme for the activities you have listed that says something meaningful about you? You have been conducting research for two years. Why that specific topic? Are you planning to continue the research work in college? If so, is the research topic something Brown is known for? Are you familiar with the work of Brown faculty in that area? Have you contacted them to see if they are open to working with you?

More broadly, why is Brown your dream school? Can you offer an authentic, substantive and convincing argument as to why Brown? that you would not be able to copy and paste, say, for your Harvard or MIT applications?

Your high school is producing highly competitive applicants with similar stats. Most probably, Brown is receiving 60 or so applications from your school each year. How do you distinguish yourself from your peers? what is different about you/your application?

Beside stats and lists of activities and courses, you need to find a way to present yourself in an authentic way in your essays and other supplementary material that Brown allows you to submit as a part of your application.

Are you ranked in top 5 students, top 25, or top 100 in your class?
