Looks a little above average for Clemson. Should have a good shot. Make sure you have some other safeties and matches.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it! I’m looking at Coastal Carolina as a safety school and College of Charleston, USC Beaufort, and Wofford as other options

What’s your major or area.

What state are you from - i’ll assume SC.

Your SAT is a tad low but within range. Your rank is great so you’ll get in.

Coastal and Charleston are both great schools and both safeties for you.

Good luck.

Yes, I’m from SC. I’m taking the SAT again in October to try for a better score since 1280 is a little low. I plan to major in either English or Communications, possibly with a minor in Philosophy. I want to attend law school after Clemson so I’m not 100% sure what major will best prepare me for that. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it!

I think anything is fine for law. Many say philosophy is great because it teaches you how to think. A STEM is definitely great but that’s not you - but patent attorney. Most do poli sci so it’s nice to do otherwise and stand out.

English will get you better writing skills but do what you enjoy and take advantage of the advising.

If you’re open to OOS, take a look at Florida State - if you get your SAT up. They’ll waive OOS tuition.

Good luck.

Your stats look good, my daughter is OOS from NJ at Clemson (got some merit) and absolutely LOVES it there. She’s in heaven. My UDel daughter (who loves her school) was wow’d at move in (and UDel is so pretty and she was in the super nice honors dorm freshman year).

My brother is OOS NY…he has 1380 SAT and UW 90 GPA…chances?
