Can I get into college with a few C's on my transcript?

Midterms are approaching and I’m freaking out. Will I still be able to get into a school such as Western Michigan University, Saginaw Valley State University, Grand Valley State University, Eastern Michigan University, and Central Michigan University?
This would put my GPA down to a 3.59 Weighted and a 3.43 Unweighted

Yes. Do your best to maintain those GPAs and you’re bound to get into several of those on your list.

Yes. But is it lack of effort or is the material is too difficult?

College is a whole other level and all the schools you mention will have solid academics

If it’s effort not a great idea to start building that pattern.

If it’s the material ask for extra help, it can go a long way towards helping you.

If it’s nerves. Relax. You will be fine.

I have friends that go to each of these schools - all of which had GPAs lower than yours. You’ll definitely be fine.

@privatebanker It’s nerves. I just think in my head that if I get a C I won’t be successful

If you had a C average it might be an issue. You don’t. Your average is a lot better than this.

A few C’s scattered among A’s and B’s is not a problem for most universities, and should not be a problem for the universities that you have listed.

I still remember my reaction the last spelling test that I had to take in high school. It was a very happy “I PASSED!”. This did not stop me from attending a very good university and doing well in life (and eventually learning how to spell, mostly).

Thank you everyone for your help

Yes, I got in UMich History Major with a 3.5 W
not instate, not legacy, not athlete recruit
Colleges would still consider you holistically
