I am a Cognitive Science major and my counselor recommended Math 10/20C. I absolutely dislike calculus with a passion, I got a C in 20B, but am fine with other math courses. Finding the surface area of a leaf doesn't really appeal to me.

Cog Sci requires any 4 math classes to meet the requirements for the B.S degree. I already have two (20A and 20B) and need two more.

* Mathematics 10A-B-C
* Mathematics 20A-B-C-D-E-F
* Mathematics 15A or CSE 20
* Mathematics 15B or CSE 21
* Mathematics 11

Math 11 which is statistics is only offered in the spring, and I cant take 20F (linear algebra) unless I do 20C. Which is why I want to take CSE20 fall quarter. The prerequisites for CSE 20 are - CSE 8A or CSE 8B or CSE 11. CSE 8B or CSE 11 may be taken concurrently with CSE 20/ Math. 15A. Which are already full and I think comp sci majors have priority to those classes.

Is there a way I can take CSE20? Or would I be better off taking Linear Algebra and Discrete Math at mesa college seeing as I meet the pre-reqs for those classes there.

I really want to take a Math class when I start, should I just do it at Mesa College or wait till a later quarter?
