<p>I'm a senior in high school and am wondering what my chances are of getting into Duke.</p>
<p>My SATs are:
800 Math
750 Reading
730 Writing</p>
<p>SAT IIs are:
770 Biology M
710 Math 2</p>
<p>GPA is 4.35 weighted and 3.97 unweighted</p>
<p>I am 4 Year Varsity baseball, editor in chief of yearbook, and volunteer at a hospital once a week.</p>
<p>My intended major is neuroscience. What do you think?</p>
<p>Your GPA and scores are good. You need to write well and get good recommendations.</p>
<p>Solid stats, which make you a solid prospect, but still not a greater than 50/50 chance by any means.</p>
<p>With those grades you are in.</p>
<p>If you are not accepted it wouldn’t be your grades.</p>

<p>You have a 800 in the Math SAT and you’ve suffered a meltdown in your deductive reasoning skills lately? Look at the admit stats of Duke students and compare yourself. If you can’t come up with a reasonable answer, then I suggest you definitely not apply – you’ve lost the ability to think.</p>

<p>Duke is an extremely competitive school. It is one of the top schools in your field of interest and should be considered an “Ivy-equivalent” school. You have a realistic shot but, like most applicants, you should treat it like a reach school.</p>
