Hi! I am a 15 year old (young) sophomore from Connecticut. I am a conscientious student who excels in the fine and language arts. I consistently demonstrate leadership qualities in community service groups and school affiliated clubs.
I have been the publicist (1 yr) and President (2 yrs) of the performing arts club at my school.
I was a member of the Varsity Dance Team (Varsity letter received- 1 yr).
I have been in the Choir and Select Choirs for four years.
I was on debate team freshman year.
I have been a Girl Scout for 10 years and have received my Bronze and Silver Awards so far.
I have received Presidential Service Awards (2 years. Youth- Gold, Young Adult- Gold).
I have achieved Silver Medal status on the National German Exam.
My PSAT scores were good for a sophomore. I am now taking PSAT/SAT prep courses so my scores can improve.
My grandfather attended and taught at Fordham.
I am a student director and acting coach at a community theater in my town. This is a paid position.
I have been in dramas and musicals in school and have played leads.
I perform in regional theater and have played leads there as well. Extensive theatre resume.
My GPA ranges from 3.5-3.8 unweighted. I have made Honor Roll every quarter for two years.
I take all honors classes and I challenge myself with electives in fine arts and language arts.
What do you think my chances of admittance are to Fordham's BFA Acting Program, or the academic program? It's my dream school, but I am open to any and all feedback.
Sorry about the scattered thoughts. Thank you for reading!
