-pretty good recommendations, great essays

good chance. Did you apply EA. G’town takes its EA very seriously, meaning it is almost like ED. They recommend you not to apply to any ED schools. Problem is by the time it is RD you are competing with people who did’nt get into IVYs.

I’d say you look really great. Very impressive statistics…my sister goes to Georgetown and she has a little worse stats than you…in terms of test scores, I’d say you have a wonderful shot at getting in. Are you religiously involved at all? In terms of putting your time towards your faith? It could certainly tip your application that much further if you are worried about it.

Yes I did! Thanks for your input!

Thank you for your input! Yes I am Catholic and the mission trips were to help build a catholic school there… wrote about that in my essay. Thanks again it means a lot.

bump…

bumppppppppp

I think you have an excellent shot at Georgetown EA! You have great academics and test scores, which means you will knock the objective portion out of the park. You don’t have just a laundry list of EC’s either, they really show involvement because you’ve been in them for all the years you could. Your essay sounds intresting, and hopefully reveals what makes you tick. I would say georgetown EA is a match-high match for you, you shouldn’t have many problems. Good luck!

I think you have a good chance for GU admission too, but did want to clarify that there is no bump at GU for EA applicants. GU admits the same percentage of EA students that it admitted RD the prior year (ala, this year about 16%). The remaining applicants get deferred to RD (no rejections at the EA stage) and ultimately another 15% or so of those applicants are admitted. Here is a link describing the process.

yea i’d say georgetown is a low match. you shouldn’t have a problem getting into there

more opinions…??
