Can I get into Georgetown????!!!!

I am a junior at a very competitive public high school in very competitive Westchester County NY. (Yes, I live among the Clintons)

My current GPA is 4.0 (A+) and my weighted GPA is 4.2, and I am in the top10% of my class

I have received an A in every class except Bio (I never want to see that subject again- I received a B+)

I am in 3 AP'S
-Spanish Lang. A
-APUSH A+
-Microeconomics A+

Also I am in
-Honors English A
-Honors Chem. A
-Honors Band A+ (trombone-7 years of playing)

The thing that hurts me is that I am not in Pre calc, but I have an A+ in Math.

I am also very worried about my SAT's M: 700 CR: 680 WR: 700
I have 1 SAT II: Bio-M 690
and I plan to take SAT II's in Math1 and US History

I am taking 3 AP’s next year
-AP US Gov & Pol
-AP English
-AP Spanish (two year course so I guess it counts only as one)

I don't know if this helps but on every NY State regents I have received a 95 or higher. (There is a regents for every subject in NYS)

Sports:
I am on the varsity football team and I played high school football all three years (Guard)
I also been on the varsity swim team all three years of high school (all strokes)

EC’S:
-I am a delegate at my schools Model United Nations and I am going to the national conference in May
-I am in VASSA (Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse) and I have gone to the middle school several times to be a positive influence and preach against drugs and alcohol
-I am an active member of my church (Youth Group, mow lawn of church, clean church, etc.)
-My most important EC is Civil Air Patrol (CAP) the United States Air Force Auxiliary
-In this organization I am a cadet Master Sergeant (almost a cadet officer)
In this I am in
-the color guard
-honor guard
-On the Cadet Advisory Council for Southeastern New York
-Been in countless parades, conducted many ceremonies, went to the prison to donate toys for the inmates’ children, and many other community service activities. Well over 200 hrs of community service.

Also in CAP I attended and encampment in New Jersey (where I pretend I am really in the military) during my freshman to sophomore summer.

The next Summer I went to the Cadet Leadership Academy in Maryland where I was taught leadership theory, and I had to present several speeches, give a lecture, and write many essays.

I devote a lot of time to CAP and I plan to become a Cadet Lieutenant soon.

I want to be in Air Force ROTC. Does that help me in any way with college admissions?

Also this past February I went to Presidential Classroom Scholars Program (which is what made me want to go to Georgetown)

So if you could tell me what you think it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Can I get into Georgetown or are they going to laugh at my application?

P.S. Do I stand a chance at UVA, Cornell, University of Chicago, Emory, and/or Vanderbilt?
Please be honest. Thank you.

I forgot, this summer with CAP I am going to be on the staff at encampment- in logistics or administration.
Also I am going to intern for my congresswomen in Washington. Thanks again for taking your time.

I'm afraid you have no chance anywhere besides community college. Sorry man. They will indeed laugh at your application

And what's so bad about ONE B+. It was probably an honors class too.

Are you dumb? Of course you have a chance. You have about 50,000 AP classes, 70,300 ECs.

Pardon me again, with my spanish class I recieve several college credist form UAlbany. Also with Presidential classroom and writting a paper I recieved a credit from UVA. Thanks

I am sorry. The fact that you cant spell "credits" will keep you out for sure.

And you cant spell "from" either.

You cant even spell "receive" either. What is with all these spelling errors? You are a shoe-in for community college.

I cant believe I just found another error. You cant even spell "writing".

Georgetown = Match

Lighten up Tor. Georgetown 89, what do you have to lose by applying? I think you have some unique qualities going for you. Ignore Tor.

Your SAT is a little bit below Georgetown's median, but your excellent grades will balance that out.

wooow tor...you are one funny person. i agree. sometimes i feel that people just post their stats on here to show off. Georgetown89 there's gotta be something wrong in your brain if you think you don't have a chance. you know you've worked hard to get into a good college. you know you're qualified...you're in the top 10 % if your class. i would expected a little more out of a "genius" like you...tisk tisk

UVA - Reach (because you're out of state)
Cornell - Reach
University of Chicago - Reach
Emory - Match
Vanderbilt - Match
Georgetown - Match

You need to find some safeties and maybe a few more matches.

Are you planning on applying ED?

What math are you in, if not precalc?

What were your AP scores? Did you take the AP tests?

I'd take the SATs again, or take the ACT--or both.

A call from Clinton to the president of the university probably wouldn't hurt, either :)

georgetown actually has early action not ED ... its non-binding and no one gets rejected

I think it looks great. You'll get in fine.

Thanks for all the feedback and please ignore my typo's

Georgetown89, are you the kid from "The Girl Next Door"?

What do u mean?

The kid in the movie "The Girl Next Door" was really smart and wanted to go to Georgetown. And he was sort of neurotic about it, like you. See the movie. It might lighten you up a little. But DON'T try the same methods that are used in the film!!
