<p>Hi. I'm a soon to be graduating senior from S.Korea(currently residing in Taipei) and I'm slightly apprehended because of my chances of getting into Georgia Tech.
I came to an Taiwanese American school(no prior experience in a foreign country) during my sophomore year and started with a really basic course setup, comprised of only 1 honors course (Algebra 2).
I got a 3.81 UC GPA and a 3.8 weighted. 3.7 unweighted
On my junior year, I took 3 AP courses (Econ, Psych, USH) and 4 Honors courses(Calc,Bio,Physics,American Lit) with an additional language course(mandarin).
I improved a bit, achieving a 3.93 weighted average and a 4.375 UC GPA. But a 3.5 unweighted (screwed 1 course up pretty hard)</p>
<p>My ECA includes a member of the Econ Magazine in our school, Key Club(volunteer), Mental Health Action(help mentally disabled people) and Partners in Health(self-explanatory). I lack a leadership position in my clubs because of my shy personality and aversion for attention(Yes, I know it's bad). </p>
<p>My AP scores are a 5(Macro) 4(Micro) 5(Psych) 4(USH).
My SAT score is a single 2000(first try) but will be taking it again this October.</p>
<p>Here's the question. Does my improvement in grades help with the admissions process? If so, how much?
Does my low GPA hurt my chances of getting in? The course rigor is exceptionally high for me because my school is a generally regarded as a above average private school.
Obviously,my sophomore grades are atrocious, compared to the mean accepted average of Georgia tech applicants and my unweighted GPA for junior year could be called worse'er'</p>
<p>For my senior year classes, I'm taking 5 AP courses (APCS, Bio, APES, English lang, and Calculus AB)</p>
<p>Finally, to get in Georgia Tech, what would be a good SAT score?
Thank you all in advance</p>
