Can I get into grad school?

Hi guys, I'm a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, as a psych major. I have a 2.9 gpa, and I'm really worried about graduate school. With a psych degree, it's really hard to have a successful career without getting a masters.

I got a D in chem my freshman year, and a C in my stats class. Other than that, I've had a mix of A's and B's. This semester I had been planning on getting my better grades, but ended up with all B's, so my gpa didn't go up much. I'm retaking stats this next semester though, hoping to up that grade. I might retake chem next summer, but I really don't know how well I'll do in it. I've tried to get research, but with my grades and lack of pre reqs, I've been unable to get any. Am I doomed? I don't need to go to an Ivy League, but I want to go somewhere! Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

The answer to your question is yes. Are you aware how many MS Psychology programs there are? University of Phoenix offers one.

To the question you meant to ask, “Will you get into a decent program?”

Probably yes. A pHd program is probably out of the question though. I have heard that is very competitive. That’s not my field though.
