Schools look for an upward trend so if you have one and you those excellent ACT scores you should be fine. My child had a downward trend in high school, applied at the last minute and got in.

You should apply based on your interests. that being said, the most selective are school of public health (9%), school of business (30%), columbian (31%), and elliott (32%). elliott has the highest gpa’s and test scores. the least selective is engineering (41%) i believe. (all these numbers are as of 2010, so they’ll probably be lower for 2012)

I was just at GW yesterday visiting, and the admissions director said that although they ask you to select which school you would like to have a major in, the only school that affects your chances of admission is public health. You can get in to GW and get rejected from the public health school, though. They just want to know what you’re interested in doing, and if you’re undecided, they said to put down Columbian College of Arts and Sciences

yeah i did !!
