Can i get into Harvard

As Harvard decisions are a week away, I am getting more and more nervous. Please read my stats and be brutally honest

SAT:1530
GPA:3.0

of AP: 14

Strong EC, in and out of School
-DECA
-National Buisness Honor Society
-Boys State

  • Interact
    -Varsity Basketball
    -ETC.

Also I am an undocumented immigrant who has been living in the USA for 14 Years.
I stressed this in my essay
also before my final SAT, my grandfather died and I had to attend his funeral the day before the sat.

Thank you, and remember to tell me the truth, I can take it

No

@student23456543 Unless you hop on the Red Line, I don’t think so.

oh i forgot that i did get a 720 in Math 1 SAT 2

Still No. I know lots of friends who had everything perfect but didn’t get in.

Are you an all-star athlete? If not nope. Sorry about your loss but I don’t think colleges take excuses for a low sat score, especially when there are many opportunities to take it.

1530
Is that M+CR? Or M+CR+W?

M+CR

That makes your prospects better but that GPA should be 3.5+. At least your SAT is in Range

Oh I think people had the impression that that was your score for all 3 sections (atleast I did) sorry for being harsh lol

Even then your GPA is extremely low for a school as selective as Harvard and there is nothing really special about your extracurriculars.

Perhaps if you had all star outstanding extracurriculars.

I am also a first gen college applicant who is indian

Being first gen migh help (might increase your chances like .05%) but being Indian won’t

i dont think undocumented immigrants can be accepted to colleges? Don’t you need to either show ur citizenship or a visa?

Regardless, while the SAT score is great, the GPA will need to be higher. Harvard relies on extracurriculars as 80% of applicant have near perfect academic profiles. I would definitely say ur chance is a high reach.

Good luck! And remember, there are tons of other colleges out there

No Havard allows it

You still have a 3.0 GPA. Sorry, but you’d need to be Malia Obama to get in with those grades. There are kids who get in with 3.4 or 3.5 GPAs, but they’re usually survivors of genocide or similar hardship who’ve emigrated to the US, lived in extreme poverty, and done well in other aspects of their application (standardized tests, extracurriculars, etc).

Everyone needs to give the Malia Obama thing a rest - if you actually want to make some sort of point about an unqualified applicant getting into an Ivy League school because of family connections, a certain recent President comes to mind.

If there’s any evidence that Malia Obama doesn’t measure up to the standards of the schools she is being linked with, I have yet to see it.

I don’t think you’ll get in given your GPA. Being an illegal alien won’t help either.
