Maybe not Harvard but there are plenty of schools where your M+CR SAT will help you a ton.
@NickFlynn I don’t know about the others using this example, but I’m not using it to imply that Malia Obama is unqualified. We do believe, however, that most Ivies would likely admit her even if she had a 3.0 GPA and a burgeoning criminal record (I’m sure she has neither). Thus her use as an example of the sort of hook an applicant with a 3.0 would need.
You would need an epic hook (e.g. presidential child as in the examples above).
It’s absolutely not going to happen otherwise.
@NotVerySmart Hey, it’s a personal pet peeve of mine - “Malia Obama” and the old “If your parents donate $20 million” are both silly, and they also elide the very real but widely misunderstood factors that do actually have impact on a non-trivial numbers of applicants.
As for the OP, people with 3.0 GPAs just don’t get into Ivy League schools except in absolutely extraordinary circumstances…
You have good hooks and SAT…but your GPA and extracurriculars are lacking, I mean they are not terrible EC’s but they just don’t stand out in an admissions room.
