hello guys. i am worried that getting one B in freshman year would hinder my chances of getting into top colleges (ie. MIT, Harvard, Stanford, etc.) Will this really affect my chances of getting in?

thanks :)

No, it won’t.

I got a C+ in math sophomore year and have 4 other Bs on my transcript and I still got accepted to UChicago early action!

No. 10char.

it definitely should not… many universities don’t even care about 9th grade.
I know plenty ppl getting bunches of Bs and still getting into ivies. Don’t worry too much.
Only worry when you have a C on your transcript. ;D
good luck with college applications! (if you are applying XD)
taft10: congrats! lol still waiting on my ED decision to come out from my school XD

you’re joking right -_-

no i’m not. they just had a lot of ecs to make up for their bad grades
lol i’m not a ■■■■■ if that’s what you’re asking

^I think he was addressing the OP. Not everyone in every top 20 school has had straight A’s their entire high school career -____-

oh LOL i thought he was saying that how i claim a lot of people get into ivies with a bunch of Bs was a joke
XD XD

No, especially not for Stanford, UCs, and CSUs, which do not consider 9th grade course grades at all (as long as you passed the courses).

ok thanks guys :D
