Please let me know what are my chances!! thanks

The fact that you are out of state doesn’t matter; Johns Hopkins is a private school. On the other hand, coming from CA won’t give you a geographical diversity advantage, since they surely get plenty of applicants from there.
Your profile is strong; you are a competitive applicant.

thanks for response

anyone else?

All I can say is fear not about your ACT essay score. I got a 6 on my essay and got in.

lol that’s good news I guess haha.
how do my stats stack up compared to yours though?

Do you attend or have you attended?

And if so, do you think I can get in?

bump 10char

bump 10char

bump 10char…again

new years bump? =D

your act is pretty good. besides that…the rest of your profile is just ok…

all right. appreciate the input thanks

hey enemy…your stats look great.

if your essays weren’t strong, however, i’d say youre a sure reject. those essays are KEY.

jhu rejects a ton of applicants w/good scores & gpa because they don’t see much in their essays. they want to find out who you are through your essays. they want an applicant who is impassioned.

source: my cousin got in with a 31 and 3.8; essays were outstanding (no legacy/URM/hook), and ecs were minimal

charlieharper: Wow! I totally would not have known. That’s really good info, maybe I’ll stop worrying about this haha. Thanks for the input man.

Good luck with those other schools you’re applying to!

is rank important? i saw some data set thing that hopkins presents to companies like us news and world report…common data set or something? anyways, i think 80-something percent of accepted students were in top 10th of HS…so if your school ranks, you better be top 10th.

other than gpa/rank, everything looks good; you should definitely be competitive even though you are a prospective bio major coming from cali

ah…i’m in the top 12.5% ><

all right, thanks for your input. I guess at this point it’d be better if I just forgot about it and waited until March =)

I would say that your EC are extraodrinary so I think you will get in
Good luck!
