Can I Get Into Middlebury?

Hey guys, I haven't actually finished all my standardized testing (taking SATs again in 3 weeks and SAT IIs in November) ...but can you please give me some input?

You have a shot, but it’s certainly a reach. The fact that you’re not even in the top 20% with that GPA suggests that your school has massive grade inflation, which doesn’t help you in the least… Not being in the top decile at your school will lessen your chances at Midd, where most are in the top 10%.

And get your SAT scores up.

Is 3.98 your weighted or unweighted GPA?

3.98 is weighted. And it’s true about the massive grade inflation- if you get one B your entire highschool career at my school, even for quarter-year grades, you’re out of the running for top 10%.

Go for it, especially if you increase your test scores. Middlebury is a reach for most people, including you. but you have a shot at getting in.

Thanks- I appreciate the honesty. I will.

Unless you go to a very selective/competitive HS (average SAT 2000 plus), your rank will probably make Midd impossible.
