Can I get into MIT? (I'm from Mexico)

I am currently a junior. I am a student from Mexico and I lived one year in Chicago. I attended a great school and took some challenging classes and some easy classes- given that I was an international student. My freshman year I got excellent grades in Mexico, my sophomore year (in chicago) I got a 4.0 UW GPA and a 4.13 W GPA. I took challenging science classes. I came back to Mexico this year and I will take the SAT, some AP tests, some SAT Subject Tests, and the Toefl. I have taken some SAT practice tests and my average is around ~1430. I am self-studying for AP bio, AP macro, and AP psych; I am confident that I will do good on these. I will also take the SAT Biology subject test, SAT Math 1, and SAT Math 2. (I’ll take both math so I can send the best score of both). And the TOEFL will be OK. I have lived an incredible life all around Mexico and some time in the US. I have been through a lot of stuff; from shootings to my parents’ divorce (which almost ended my inspiration of getting into MIT). Instead of looking at all the bad things that have happened in mi life and giving up my dreams because of that, I decided that it was a challenge for me to get into MIT. I am pretty sure that I’ll make good killer essays.
Now, tell me your opinion. Do you think that I can get into MIT? I will apply early action. Leave your comments, suggestions, and questions. Thanks yor your time.

You’ll need to get your scores up a bit to be competitive for MIT. The middle 50th percentile (for the old SAT) was 710 reading, 760 math.

It would also be good to show some proclivity towards science/math. As with all top schools, its tough to say what your chances are. But if you can get your scores within the SAT range, then I think you have a good shot as anyone.

Thank you @sgopal2! I really appreciate your advice. I’ll do my best to get within the SAT score ranges.

You can get into MIT.

Wow. Thanks for your support. Just curious, why do you think that I can? I am just so excited because I know that in 10 months I’ll be applying! Every year, MIT accepts 10 mexicans to their undergrad school, I hope to be one of those… Thanks again, @ManaManaWegi !

MIT admits on a holistic process. http://mitadmissions.org/apply/process/match
If those characteristics in the link above appeal to you, and you are academically qualified (there is lots of information available on what academically qualified means,) then you can get into MIT.
Obviously, this is very simplified. Also, I’m just a hopeful, so what do I know, really?
From what I’ve learned over this college admissions process so far is what I have told you. I just hope I can prove it to myself on March 14th, fingers crossed.

Believe me you can get into the MIT…Do not stop believing in yourself. My daughter is a Mexican/American Junior and when she was applying She had the same concerns that you have in this moment. During 3 family weekends we had the opportunity to meet many Mexicans students (Mexicans, Mexicans born in Mexico but now US citizens, Mexicans born in the US from Mexicans parents) and none of them are much different than you. I am happy to answer any question that you may have.

You can get into MIT, but it does not mean that you will. Your stats are pretty good, but I’d try to raise your sat. Good luck!

Thank both of you for your support @anothermitparent @jennacwa ! I have some questions for you if it’s ok @anothermitparent , what did your daughter get on her scores (SAT, APs, etc) ? I just want to know because I haven’t taken the official SAT- Ijust took some practice tests in Khan academy and a college board book that I bought- and I want to know which score should I aim for (if I can, given that english is not my first language)
