So i just applied to North Carolina State University(NCSU) today as a transfer student. I have completed one semester at the University at Albany with a 3.74 GPA as a physics major. Also I have 13 college credits from high school, all with high b's and a's. I really want to do mechanical engineering which Albany does not offer. My high school GPA was an 88.6 and my SAT score was not well, in fact a 550 on the math and a 520 on the reading :-(. Does anyone think i have a good chance of getting in? Also, will they even look at my SAT or highschool because after this semester I will have 42 credits and they say after 30 credits they do not consider SAT scores. Also I have fulfilled all the minimum requirements after this coming semester.

Please will someone chance me because I will chance back?

Okay I find it hard to believe tht nobody can chance me? is my profile that pathetic to were no one will look :-P I will chance back

I think you will have a problem getting in outofstate, if you are instate i would say yes, but NCSU has a low outofstate admission i believe

Thank you but ebven with fulfilling all the requirements and exceeding the mionimum GPA, I woudnt see y they wouldnt accept me... haha i really want to get out of New York...
Anybody elses insight?

sorry for the bad typing but im really frustrated :-x

bump bump bump

anther bump!

Ok - NCState accepts less than 20% of students OOS - so sblogblah was very helpful. Best advice I can give you is that if you truly want NCState, decide on what program and why. Get on facebook and get to know some students in the program (would not tell a high schooler to do this). Call the admin office tell them your coming and ask for an interview while your visiting. Do it now if you have made up your mind.

ya NCSU is easy to get into so youll get in

I can't answer on chances threads, I just don't know, but why don't you post your question on the NC State thread. There are several knowledgeable people who might help you out.
Good luck!
