decent chance, will be closer to the average applicant than a standout applicant due to lack of diverse ec
Ok. Do you have any recommendations on how I could diversify them?
@will1234 just put your best foot forward. NW is not the end all be all school. While it is #1 for many when you tour they will sit you down and say that more 4.0, Varsity 4 Letter, Captains will get denied from NW and it’s not because your not worthy. The school is crazy hard to get into. It has to be the right fit for you and them. What’s the magical formula? If we knew we sure wouldn’t tell. (nobody really knows so don’t let them tell you otherwise ) Bottom line is this type of school is awesome and those lucky enough to attend will do great but if you don’t get in it’s not the end. Mark Cuban went to Indiana University for goodness sake and I’d have to say he’s doing pretty darn well. It will be in your essay’s - that’s the only way you’ll be able to stand out. So don’t worry…your resume is amazing already. Keep your options open. That’s the best advice I have for you.
probably
Are you applying ED or RD? I hear that makes a big difference.
@Seacoast, I agree with basically your entire post, except I wouldn’t use Mark Cuban as a template :). He’s a special breed of human. Not everyone will become a billionaire from nothing.
@Seacoast Hey thanks that’s great advice
