Can i get into nursing schools with my stats?

Hello, i am a junior in highschool and I want to pursue a career in nursing- a nurse practioner to be exact. Would somebody please tell me the path i have to take to make it happen and provide a list with a good range of nursing schools (ok and medium schools to well known and prestigious schools)? Also, if I have a 4.0 GPA, take a good amount AP courses, am in 6 clubs, hold officer positions in two of the clubs, plan on scoring a 1900-2000 on my SAT, and do other extra curriculars such as science fair and sports, what are my matches and chances of getting into some of the schools listed?

Ok. 1) first u need to graduate first, receive HS diploma and attend a college/university. 2) u need to know which school u’re interested in getting into. then check their pre-reqs or requirements because each nursing program has its own requirements… but most of them want students to complete anatomy, physiology, microbiology, nutrition, ect… in order to get admitted. Those are college-level courses, also offered at community colleges. So, spend 1-2 years taking them at college. You can’t get into nursing program right out of high school 3) then, you apply for nursing program at the school u want. 4) note that prestigious schools or not, the bachelor degree of science you will receive will not make you become an RN (registered nurse). So, where you get your Bachelor degree does not matter. WHAT REALLY MATTERS is the State Board Exam you would need to pass once you receive your BS. Most places hire people knowing they’ve passed the state board exam, not where they get the BS degree 5) after that, get some hands on practice/experience by working in hospitals 6) last, you apply for Master’s program Nursing. I hope that helps…

The above poster is wrong in one of their statements. You can get into a nursing school straight out of highschool. It’s different at every college. UCLA and UCI do not have pre-nursing status, and I’m pretty sure University of San Francisco doesn’t either (That’s what my counselor told me, I haven’t checked on that one though).
