<p>i’d say you have a good shot at getting into syracuse, but no chance at all at NYU. syracuse is much more lenient about grades and SAT scores. if you visit syracuse, interview, and write strong essays, you have a good shot at getting in. that said, i have no idea whether you will receive aid from either of these schools if you’re accepted; it’s really hard to speculate for a domestic applicant, much less an international one because of the great amount of factors in determining financial aid.</p>
<p>one thing to remember about syracuse is the value they put on you being a creative leader who can affect what is going on around you. the university calls this “Scholarship in Action.” Be prepared to talk about how you embody the spirit of Scholarship in Action during your interviews and again in your application.</p>
