I am currently a sophomore at Grand Valley State University and I am interested in transferring to NYU. I know I probably won't get in but I wanted to know what you guys all though. In college my GPA is 3.1 and I have about 60 transfer credits. In high school I had a 3.7 GPA and an ACT score of 23. In college I participated in several clubs (and am the president of the Mock Trial team) and I volunteer. I am also working a full time job. I know my chances are slim, but I wanted to at least hear some thoughts.

no way

Transferring into NYU from a top school with a 3.1 would be pretty much impossible. From a third-tier public, even more impossible.

As yourself this: What’s that 3.1 at your current school going to translate into once you arrive at NYU? 2.5? 2.1?
They don’t want someone to show up and be a “C” student going in the door.

Sorry.
