Can I get into Rochester Econs?

I am an Indian Citizen who lived in Singapore for 10 years and have shifted to Houston, TX last year. I am now a senior, am looking at my options, and have decided that I will most likely double major in Business and Economics. My Class Rank is weak, due to transfer of credits from a different system, and my ECs are weak for my Junior year due to the shift.

Essay
Humorous and hopefully unique

Also, would you rate Rochester as a reach, match or safety?

You look like a good match. You should take two SAT subject tests. Don’t be afraid to apply at some “reach” schools (Ivy’s etc.) because you have a chance. Your class ranking will hurt you at the top schools as you are not in the top 10% and the rest of your stats are mediocre for the top tier.

Remember that Rochester does not have an undergraduate major in business. You can take classes at the Simon School, and there are some certificate progams, but no major.

what is strong and what is weak? Could you suggest other matches that are strong in econs?

Nothing strong, nothing weak…just another average UR applicant.
