Can I get into RPI?

Can I get into RPI?
I am interested in computer science with management at RPI
So here are my stats:

  1. GPA: 96 (unweighted); 100.3 (Weighted)
  2. SAT: 1870 (superscore) 680 math, 540 reading, 650 writing
  3. ACT: 27 (First time) Shooting for a 30 in October
  4. Clubs/societies: Robotics Club (Treasurer of FRC team)
    Science Honor Society
    Math Honor Society
    National Honor Society
  5. Outside Activities: Taekwondo (12 years) Third degree black belt and in Leadership Program
Community Service at Temple ( I serve food and drinks to all members of my Temple)
Free tutoring ( I believe that education should be for all; so I tutor for no charge)
  6. AP Classes:
Junior Year: AP English Language, AP United States History, AP Physics 1 and 2 [scored 94+ in each class]
Senior year: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC and rest are college level classes
  1. Ethinicity: I don't know how significant an ethnicity determines your chances f getting in a college, but I am Indian.
  2. I am also in the Intel Research Program, in which participants have to write a 20+ page research paper on a social or natural science topic. It is nationally recognized and it would be great if I became a semi-finalist

You should be able to get in; the only thing that looks edgy is your test scores, so if you have the time to retake one of those; What I worry about is RPI does not consider the writing section of the SAT; they literally just add the CR and Math scores, so your CR score is way on the low end- if you get that 30 come October, that will help.

@helpless2017 Thanks. I’m aiming for a 29 on my next ACT. I just hope they are holistic when it comes to admissions.

I went to an info session there, and they emphasized that while they are holistic, test scores and grades come first by far

@helpless2017 I mean, which should I submit, my ACT or SAT?

Probably your ACT either way, as according to my notes from the info thing (though I probably could have googled it…) the average score is 27-31 (though obviously other factors matter) and for the SAT your CR score is much lower than the average score… That 29/30 would really bolster your app though- good luck!

Thanks @helpless2017 Hopefully, I can get in.

And do better on my ACT.
