is it possible that stanford or similar colleges will accept me?

Nada you have a slim if any chance at getting in. Unless your essays rock you out of the world or you went to the moon you ain’t getting in. Your ec’s don’t stand out your scores are beyond the 25th percentile and you are international without the ability to pay Stanford has only about a handful of students on fin aid that are intl. You should apply to more realistic schools and save the money spent on apps in my opinion.

I mostly agree with @Bored1997‌. However, the Google science fair thing does stand out. Apart from that, you have nothing else that sets you apart- except your subpar SAT scores. Many applicants have competed in citywide and national competitions.
Sorry if I’m being harsh, but international students usually have to be much better than nationals to get into Stanford- if that’s even possible. Even if you had a 2400, you would still have a very slim chance. The acceptance rate for internationals at Stanford is something like 2-3%. Doesn’t help that you’re an ORM.
Apply if you want, but manage your expectations.

No.

Were you a global finalist or a regional finalist at the Google Science Fair? If you were a global finalist, it may help get you noticed, particularly if your research was clearly original and shows future potential.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, as we don’t know your full qualifications, but it does seem like a long shot.

FYI, application deadlines for Stanford and peers are only a week away - if you’re not almost done with the application process (with your scores, recommendations and transcripts already sent) it’s likely too late.

Your odds are very very low. Anything below a 2100 pretty much is automatic in not getting in. Add to it that you’re intl and require full aid…

won’t my good sat subject scores compensate for the writing and critical reading scores?

also, to what extent will my chances improve if I don’t request financial aid?

No chance

Not at Stanford.

Very little if not at all. Again, this is Stanford. Money is not a big issue to a college with $18 billion.

No. your application will not be considered much, if you haven’t achieved anything extraordinary.

Actually, Stanford would be the only top school that would even consider you. As for financial aid, Stanford is need-aware for internationals. To get in though, your essays have to be brilliant.

Were you a regional or global finalist in gsf , if only regional then it is not something extraordinary

Lol @TrElite , stanford does not give need base scholarships to international students.

Yes, there is a possibility. You should still apply :D

*does = do

i was in the top 15

@hellwattodo you are wrong. @TrElite is correct. Stanford is “need aware” for internationals…and, if you have what they are looking for and get in…they provide FULL financial aid needed to attend. The hard part is getting in.

…and to @avix215 you are right they could easily afford to offer aid to anyone if they wanted…since their latest endowment is 21 billion.

Then you should apply to mit(need blind) and cornell(100% need base financial aid given by TATA), you know there is always a possibility. And also try to get good rank in jee(under 100), so that if you do not get admission into ivy, you can get into NUS(QS World rank 7th), it has huge preference for jee mains and advance.

@gravitas2 please provide me the link to that page.
