Can i get into stony brook with these stats?

<p>Hi guys! Before you read i just want to let u guys know know im not as smart as alot of people on this fourm ><.</p>

<p>Ethnicity: Asian
School: 2000+ 99% Whites 1% Asian
No ranking</p>

<p>GPA: 3.909/4.75
SAT: M/630 W/590 R/530 <-- (alot of work needed, taking it 2 more times).....
1750/2400 (Working to get 1900 or high 1800)
1160/1600
ACT: 24 (only took once, taking it 2 more times)</p>

<p>EC/ Clubs:
- 16/week working in parent's resturant ..
- Participating in Stonybrook Protein Challenge (AP Bio)
- Donating Blood (? idk if that counts)
- Mathletes
- Surfriders
- Chess club
- Chinese club</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
Eco/Gov
AP Bio
AP Precalc/Calc AB
SCALE Composition</p>

<p>If there are universities/colleges u guys recommend PLEASE post themm!

<p>Also - blood donation is not an activity which would set you apart from others. I wouldn’t list this.</p>

1880 SAT 530 CR, 690 Math
30 on ACT
3.69 Weighted HS GPA
Ton of extracurriculars, and total of 5 AP classes taken between 10th grade and senior year
I also have 8 college credits for a spanish course taken through SUNY ALBANY
and 7 college credits from Syracuse University</p>

<p>ntham - you should have no problem gaining admission. Your statistics are fairly competitive.</p>

<p>@halima I got in with a 1980 SAT and 3.8 GPA, and I get $1000 from the presidential scholarship and $500 from TAP each year. If you don’t qualify for need-based aid, that is pretty much all you’re going to get.</p>

<p>If you have 0 EFC, you can probably expect…</p>

<p>$2.8k/semester in TAP
$2.5k/semester in Pell
$3.0k/semester in loans</p>

<p>For merit aid, they have presidential, dean and department scholarships. If you’re not in the Honor’s College, WISE or University Scholars, you can expect a scholarship up to 2k. If you’re in HC, WISE or US, then you can expect at least 2k in scholarship.</p>

<p>There’s also the ACG, which everyone who has taken and passed two AP exams with at least a 3 is eligible for. That is $300/semester for your first year, and $650/semester for your second year. It’s sister grant, SMART is eligible to certain majors only starting their third semester. This scholarship is $2k/semester.</p>

<p>There’s also the SEOG, which is basically a supplement to the Pell grant. I’m not sure about it’s stipulations.</p>

<p>If you’re EOP, then you don’t have to worry about financial aid. Everything is paid and taken care of for you, and you don’t have to leave deposits for anything and you get a stipend to spend each semester. However, you are required to obtain an on campus job.</p>
