can i get into the Ivies+

hello everyone,
I’m an international student in one of the UWC colleges, and I’m therefore taking the IB Diploma.
My Sat score is 1510: 790 math, 720 English, and the essay 18/24.
My SAT subject tests: 770 math level II, 730 Biology.
My grades: 41/42 (the only 6 I got is in Math HL- I got 7 in Economics btw)
I took part in a selective Erasmus program in year 10 and I ranked 6th in an international Erasmus competition.
I am also the leader of the LunchX program in my school (the club based on entrepreneurship organized by MIT), and I’m the leader of two other activities that aim to link the students to the people outside the school.
I’m also having a two weeks experience in the field of finance, and the director of a bank is writing a recommendation letter for me.
Do you think I have a possibility in one of these colleges: Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Wharton (UPenn), Columbia, Yale, Princeton, Northwestern?

Chances of getting into these schools are very low for anyone. For international students, it is even more competitive.

Is 41 your predicted DP score or final?

It really depends on your essays and recs. Your stats are solid.

The question is not “can I?” The real question is do you REALLY want to?

I would look into some other highly competitive (yet not Ivy League) colleges like Amherst College (who has a very interactive international program), Tufts, or Duke. Still just as respectable just not as ridiculously hard to get into. Good luck!!

Judging by your question, it seems you are only concerned about the brand of school… Know that there are other schools that can meet your needs and challenge you. Don’t be so “Ivy-obsessed.”
