I live in New Jersey and i'm going to be a senior this year. My GPA is a 3.6 and my SAT is a 1900 although i'll be taking it again this fall and i'm hoping for at least a 2000. I'm part of my town's Emergency Service volunteer program and will hopefully be starting EMT training soon and i've also been part of a Scout program for about 7 years where we learned a lot of first aid. I've only recently decided that I want to go into the nursing program so I haven't really had a chance to do more health-related activities. I know that the Rutgers Nursing Program is VERY selective but I have been wanting to go to Rutgers for a while so that's my first choice. Should I bother applying there? Do I have better chances at TCNJ? Or is there a better option for me in the NJ, NY, PA areas? Please leave suggestions I would really appreciate it! :)

Definitely apply. I’m a freshman and I’ve got friends who were CNAs or EMTs and got accepted with 1850 or a 3.5 gpa. So if you can break a 2000 you still would have chance since you’re an EMT and they really like well rounded students.
