Can i get into the University of British Columbia?

I am an international student from Pakistan following the British pattern of education and i am currently in my final year of A-levels
I got 4 straight A’s in my AS exams and 7A*'s,1A and 1B in my O-levels GCE. My Alevel subjects are all the three sciences and math
1450 in the new SAT reasoning test
with the separate sections as follows:
Math-770/800
Reading and Writing- 680/800
My extra curricular are not MANY but there are enough id say
So, judge me, Can i get into the mechanical, mineral and mining or civil engineering program of UBC?

IIRC, theres no such thing as direct entry into an engineering program at UBC. You are admitted into sciences, where you have to compete against the rest of your graduating class to be placed in the stream of your choosing. If you are wondering whether those grades are good enough for sciences, yes they are. Not sure what the EC portion of the application is like for science students, but it just comes down to communication and not 100% the actual activities

I just got in with 1410 new sat and some decent ECs (nothing that would drop jaws). So yeah, that might help.

I doubt that they care about the EC’s at all. I think that you have a very good chance based on grades and SATs. I have many relatives who went to UBC. In general they are all very positive about the university and I would very highly recommend it. It has a well deserved strong reputation in many subjects.

It rains a LOT in the winter (which also implies that it is only rarely cold enough to snow). An English-style rain coast might be appropriate, with room for a sweater underneath. UBC is very large. When the sun comes out (which includes nearly all of the summer, and a lot of the spring and fall) it is a very beautiful location, and one of the most beautiful campuses anywhere.

@DadTwoGirls They actually do care about EC’s. I don’t know how much, though; All I know is that there’s a Personal Profile, which allows you to explain specific extracurriculars. This is especially helpful if you learned a lot from them. That being said, I think the Personal Profile is also a great way to share your ability to overcome hurdles. Even if you don’t have a lot of extracurriculars, sharing great life stories should also work.
