Is your weighted GPA, the “UF” GPA? UF only includes academic classes and gives an extra point for AP/DE classes and a half point for honors classes. If your UF GPA is 4.27, then that’s very positive, if not, then you are likely very much on the bubble. Of admitted students in 2018, the average high school weighted GPA is 4.4. The middle 50 percent GPA span is 4.2 to 4.6. The average SAT score is 1364, with the middle 50 percent span between 1300 and 1440, and the average ACT score is 30 with the middle 50 percent span between 29 and 33. You definitely need to bring your SAT score to be competitive. The College Board offers an analysis of your score and you can see where you need improvement. CB also has a partnership with the Khan Academy and you can very quickly create a free study program to help you improve. You should also take the ACT as some kids do better on one than the other. Good luck. UF does not take your major into account for admissions.
