Ok well my gpa is around 3.4 i make a's and b's, i'm applying to loomis chaffee, Williston Northampton School, Hotchkiss (a reach lol), and exeter (i know, no way right?, well i wanna try)
I play tennis, volunteer a little, and have extra curricular activities. Do I have a chance at any of these schools?

more specifics…

You need to know your SSAT score.

what grade are you applying for? do you take honors level courses? What kind of teacher recs are you expecting? Do you need financial aid?

I don’t need finacial aid, math is an honors course, havn’t taken the ssat’s yet, and it’s 9th grade

I’m moving soon in mid-October, and it’s going to be a major change because I’m moving out of the country… But I was wondering if I should just get my new teachers to recommend me from the public school I’ll be going to temporarily or just get them here? If I get them here, they wouldn’t be current teachers so I should just get it there right? But they won’t know me that well nor my potential…
Also, do all schools want current teacher recommendations??

tiger_max – You should ask each school to which you are applying what to do. Don’t wait for rolling admissions which may or may not happen, and is generally much more competitive. I read on another thread that you were thinking about doing this.
