<p>Stony Brook University, Albany, C.W. Post, Columbia, Oswego, Geneso, Binghmanton</p>

<p>Ok so my freshman year I screwed up and got a 78, because I didnt care about school and my grades. </p>

<p>My sophmore year I made a goal for myself to do a lot better. I finished my sophmore year with a 92 GPA. During the last two quarters of school I did alot better in Math and Science I got a 95 the last two quarters</p>

<p>I have just started my junior year. Heres my schedule and goals for each class...</p>

<p>1-Spanish 4 (Weighted) (108)

5- Algebra 2 and Trigonometry (92)

<p>Im in the Spanish National Honor Society</p>

<p>Im doing about 100 to 150 hours of volunteer service at a Nursing Home throughout out the winter and fall this year. In the spring im going to do about 200 hours of volunteer work at North Shore LIJ Hospital.</p>

<p>I've just taken my PSAT so I don't know my scores yet. I'm going to take my SAT at the end of this year, and take it again at the beginning of my senior year to improve my score</p>

<p>I might take these SAT Subject Tests...</p>

<p>Biolgy, Spanish Reading and Listening, English Literature,US History, and Mathmatics Level 1</p>

-College Level Spanish 5 Weighted

<p>Im going to try to do more volunteer work somewhere over the summer to the start of my senior year. Im also going to try to get some credits at a local community college or a State College over the summer.</p>

<p>Im also in the New York State Science Technology Entry Program (STEP) The STEP program is designed to increase the number of historically underrepresented and disadvantaged students prepared to enter college, and improve their participation rate in:</p>

<p>Mathematics,Science,Technology,Health Related Fields, Licensed Professions</p>

<p>My family is pretty much poor, and im hispanic. I really hope to be the first in my whole family (Aunts, Uncles, Older Cousins) to go to college and become something.</p>

<p>The school that I really want to get into is Stony Brook, if I get accepted I'll be really happy :)</p>

<p>I either want to study medicine, or become a biology teacher.</p>

<p>you are URM and 1st gen so that can only help. you have good chances everywhere except columbia imo.</p>

<p>colleges like an upward trend so thats definitely good plus you’re a URM. so if you work hard this year and get good grades and good SAT scores you should have a good shot at all those schools. Coulumbia could be a shot if you do really good this year, otherwise it’s still a reach.</p>

<p>The thing that say Humanties 12 and down are the classes that I hope to take in my senior year.</p>
